| CONFIDENCE INSPITE OF DIFFICULTY
One evening, after dinner, I brought my 4-year old daughter to a playground. There was a big net made out of thick ropes, that act as a ladder for children to climb up to a platform. When my daughter reached the playground, she was so excited and tried to climb up that net. After 2 steps, she decided to come down despite my assurance that I was behind watching her and protecting her. Because of her fear of falling down, she had chosen to play with the sand than to climb up to the platform. About 5 minutes later, I tried to convince her to climb again. This time she managed to climb up the platform with some help. Very often, when we face difficulty or discouragement, we may feel like giving up. Somehow, we can be so overwhelmed by the problem that we fail to recognise that we have a loving heavenly Father who is always watching and protecting us. Let us put our confidence in God inspite of difficulty. Just like Micah, he was able to see beyond his current difficult situation to proclaim his confidence in God. He says, "But as for me, I watch in hope for the LORD, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me." (Micah 7:7)
BE WHAT GOD WANTS YOU TO BE
One perculiar characteristic of shark is that when you catch a small shark and puts it into an aquarium, it will stay to a size proportionate to the aquarium. Sharks can be six inches long yet fully matured. But if you turn them loose in the ocean, they will grow to their normal length of eight feet. Do not allow your past to confine your potential. Break free and be what God wants you to be.
YOU CAN STILL SING IN A STORM There are 3 kinds of birds that respond differently to bad weather. By God's grace you too can sing like a robin in difficult time. The Bible says, "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. (James 1:2-4) Link to site: www.geocities.com
